What do you do before Eating something that is Bad for your Diabetes? Tell us in the Comments!
Hello, my name is Joseph Brokos and I’ve been a diabetic since age 14. I am 32 now I have recently been diagnosed with cyclic vomiting syndrome which affects my diabetes in a major way.
I’d like to take the time and tell you that I like Chinese food but I find that Chinese food is very rich and requires a lot of insulin. So, in order to eat Chinese food, I test my sugar and then have to take insulin according to my numbers.
A key thing to me about eating Chinese food is pre-dosing my insulin and then retesting half hour 45 minutes after I eat to find out what my number is and then RI check my blood glucose and take more insulin to my scale.
I find this helps and works very well I can still eat Chinese food just not as often. Chinese food is very high in sugar most sauces Drive diabetes up.
