What words do you need to remember on your bad days? Share to Raise Awareness! I am writing this for me. But also, for you....
Hello everyone, my name is Sylvia. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic fatigue syndrome and back problems because of Arthritis. I already had a surgery on my back. I gave up drinking 17 years ago due to poor health. It’s the best thing I ever did for my sanity.
One of the curses of having Fibromyalgia is something called “allodynia”. Allodynia refers to central pain sensitization (increased response of neurons).
Fibromyalgia is a very debilitating condition, it comes with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and the medications that help with the pain make you sleepy or lightheaded in most cases.
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia five or six years ago. I thought that it would be impossible to live with it. I had been exposed to every therapy possible. Physical therapy, Aqua therapy, Needling, Cortisone, and Ultrasound. I had a breast reduction to help with the back pain but nothing helped for a long-term. I don’t have a high pain threshold, I proved myself wrong.
After an unfortunate Motor Vehicle Accident, I began my painful journey at 30 years old. I have been diagnosed with 6 autoimmune diseases.
I hope that, the pain-free days will come more and more often, and that the moment will come when I will scream to the world... Disabled? NOT ME!
Keep your support team. We struggle each day to try to live as much as we can. To endure what pain we have going on that day. How tired we are. We lift each other up. And we pray for a better day. Yes, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. But it does not have me.
