Trying to crack a smile through the darkest of days
In my head, it’s screaming out for help
Losing all control when darkness overwhelms me
Trying to focus was as hard
Wearing a fake smile was painful
Yes I’m smiling but inside I’m dying

Every thought is like a battle
Every breath is like a war
And I don’t think I’m winning any of em
Wearing a mask for so long I forgot who I was
They ask where is she? I killed the old me
Because I no longer had the strength
To win the monster I fought every day
