Do you Remember your First Migraine? How would you Describe it? Tell us in the Comments!
I started getting migraines 12 years ago and have them daily.
In 2007, I went to the ER with a horrible migraine and vomiting. They did a CT scan and came in and said I have hydrocephalus and needed a shunt placed.
I had my shunt placed and I thought things would get better but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. I still continue to have chronic migraines. I only end up in ER 3-4 times a year now. I’ve tried numerous medicines, Botox, nerve block shots. I no longer work because I am down with migraines so often.

Luckily, my husband and kids are very supportive. I know a migraine is coming on when I get very thirsty and feel dehydrated even when I’m drinking plenty.
My shunt tube also sticks out when I have a migraine. I have lost a lot of confidence in myself. I get depressed and sick and tired of being sick and tired but I know there are lots of others out there that suffer the same.
