To level with you, it's hard, and it's even harder to hear people unafflicted with schizophrenia tell you it's tough.

I hear the voices inside my head, coming at me, judging, patronizing. “You are worthless!”  They said. She is schizophrenic, she is a liar, she cannot do all that she said she could, they all contend. My heart palpitates with fear, as the hallucination extend, trying to disconnect from the voices inside my head.

I've been blessed my whole life I guess that my mental illness was never detected but looking back on my life I can clearly recall things that I was unable to understand.
