Our bodies may be struggling but our minds are strong. You just have to take those first few steps.

How many times does a person has to almost die before she wakes up and says enough is enough? I believe motherhood put it all in perspective for me. I know that it is sad to say, but the way that the medical community treated me I thought it was true or it was my fault. I would always wait till the last moment to go to the ER and even though I was sick, my mind would go to the craziest of places.

Hello everyone, my name is Sylvia. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic fatigue syndrome and back problems because of Arthritis. I already had a surgery on my back. I gave up drinking 17 years ago due to poor health. It’s the best thing I ever did for my sanity.

I used to blame myself for having Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain and not being able to do things like everyone else. I figured there must have been something I had done in my past to cause it.

My story, I believe, starts when I was in my early 30's and I started feeling weakness in my lower extremities to the point that I lost control of my bladder and bowel movements, and I couldn't feel my body from my waist down.

I have both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as Ulcerative Colitis and Asthma. Despite all of that at 63 I have a wonderfully full and busy life, But I do everything in pain.

recently found out that there might be a new solution for my back/neck pain! It's a medical procedure where they implant an electrical device in your back. I've heard of it referred to being similar to a pacemaker-for pain! You have to go back every couple of years to have it replaced (you can Google this).
