If anyone out there is living with chronic pain, you’re not alone! Everyone who lives with chronic pain has their own story to tell, and here is mine! Mine started at age 12, 27 years ago. It started in my hip joints, which caused me every day constant pain! It hurt to sit! The pain only progressed as I’ve aged. Four years ago I had a lower lumbar Laminectomy, and 8 months later, I had to have a Spinal Fusion! Then, just 2 years later, I then had to have a spinal fusion in my neck!

Even after 3 different surgeries, I still struggle with pain every day. My doctor sent me to a pain clinic. After going to a pain clinic for the past 3 and half years, and going through numerous procedures and emergency room visits, I am still struggling with chronic pain! But I’m writing this article in hopes that it’ll help others that are going through chronic pain! Don’t lose hope!

After having nerves in my neck burned off, countless steroid shots, pain meds, muscle relaxants, nothing has helped! And no one wants to be on pain meds the rest of their life, as it can destroy your body over time, and your body becomes dependent on it and many other negative effects of it. I recently found out that there might be a new solution for my back/neck pain! It’s a medical procedure where they implant an electrical device in your back.

I’ve heard of it referred to being similar to a pacemaker-for pain! You have to go back every couple of years to have it replaced (you can Google this). This device sends painless electrical waves throughout the nerves to block your pain! I wanted to share this, in case this type of procedure could possibly help others! We all know that living with chronic pain is not fun at all, and I just want everyone out there to know that you’re not alone, and I’m praying for everyone out there! Keep your heads up and don’t lose faith!
