My daughter Alicia is going through the teen stage of total acne breakout. She is 14 and like “mom -oh my god- look at my face” She said.
She has tried everything to help treat acne, but she made it worse when she Googled home remedies. I told her you are going to make it worse and she said: “This works they say it did”. Lo and behold, guess what? Mom was right! And she made it worse.
I went to her saying “OK enough Dr. Google let mom get you some stuff that your grandma used, Witch Hazel, Neutrogena soup and that was it” I also told her no makeup and yes she went, NO! lol.

I told her that she need to let her face heal up from all that crap she tried. She said OK fine. I told her that she does not need to put crap on her face every day in order for it to work. So she took my advice and washed her face with Neutrogena soap in the morning when she woke up after school cause she is in sports. And every three days She makes sure she put on real aloe Vera from the plant on her face so it can heal and refresh her face. The witch hazel is for when she sweats. Her face is not back to how she would like it yet, but it takes time…
You can’t rush nature. And hey! it looks a lot better than it did before she went all Google on mom lol.
