I love to dance the tango. It filled my life. Suddenly, I can’t dance it anymore!

I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hip joint and told that the pain would increase gradually by each step I take, as it will grind away another layer of my almost non-existing cartilage. At the age of 40, my steps were very painful.

There was only one position I could sleep in at night and I was told my other hip joint was about to soon follow the fate of the first. That would mean I would have no position without pain and no more sleep. I had to do something about that.

The idea of becoming a pill-junkie was not an inspiring thought. I decided to look for alternatives. I found one that sounds good, but I couldn’t know if it will work. Regular medical science tells me there is no way out. I can have my hip replaced, but that will only last for a few years.

The idea is to see if micro vibrations or sound therapy could stimulate my joint into growing some cartilage. On my birthday my dad gave me a machine that produces these vibrations. Now, I am on a journey. This is my healing/non-healing journey. I call it that way because I do not know what the result will be.

Since growing cartilage seems to be a more time-consuming task, I believe that we still have a few months before we get the verdict: Healed or Not-healed.
