Menopause is very hard to deal with. People don’t understand it. Men think we are crazy.
I’ve been dealing with menopause since 2009 or so. I asked the Victor Valley Hospital about ‘perimenopause’ and he said, you are not experiencing that. I said, but according to the website, I have 36 of the 45 symptoms. I knew what I was feeling, and I need it handled.
When I went to see an OBG/YN for extended periods, I found out I was at the beginning of menopause. That’s was 2012 and my cycle flowed for 2 weeks straight. I went to the hospital prior to him and was asked; do you feel ok? Are you having headaches? Yes. He looked at my eyes and said they are dilated. I said, they are and what does that mean? He said you have lost a lot of blood. I said, oh my God and what now? You need a blood transfusion. I looked and said wow. Okay so let’s do that.

Menopause is not a fun ride. It’s very uncomfortable, stressful, painful, very depressing for me, lots of emotions and just a merry-go-round! You must find something that works for you. I still haven’t found the perfect concoction yet to help me. Lots of showers, wash offs, sitting under swamp cooler, standing in fridge freezer, ice cream-all of which can be tiring.
Menopause is a real ailment and it is different for every woman. You are not alone but find your way to get comfortable during this stage of life.
