I struggled to live in a new country after having been in Mexico due to leaving my family and friends behind. All my life, I was living with endometrial pain, but when I arrived in Arizona, my gynecologist did some tests and told me that I had a big ball which meant they would have to remove one of my ovaries. Believe me or not, it’s difficult when it come to terms of losing one of your organs.

Knowing I may never be able to have children, I took advantage of the free time it gave me by running and participating in more marathons. I’ve grown so much stronger, both physically and mentally.

Running made me feel strong enough and that I have the ability to do more. Now my husband wants a baby so much, so this story doesn’t finish as happy as it can be. But for me Jimena Castro, I am so happy to be alive. I have so much more to live. I have a big blogger account on Instagram that is growing fast because of my good photography, my stories and poems.

I write more than reading. I live more than concern about things. I do everything I need. I love too much and my life is just becoming something better every day.
