I was diagnosed with Crohn’s in 1998, after losing weight and having constant diarrhea.
When my stomach condition didn’t stop and after I kept losing weight and after 2 colonoscopies in 3 years they found out my colon had holes in it and surgery was done in 2001 to remove it.
Well, being 6’5 and down to 165 lbs, there wasn’t any other option. Now in 2018 and I’m still going strong.
My family at the time didn’t believe and didn’t understand, but once the diagnosis was submitted they saw things differently.
A lot of people don’t like to deal with people with Crohn’s, but that doesn’t change who I am.
I decided to live one day at a time and be grateful that I found a name for my disease. Now, I don’t have to wonder what type of a disease I have, I just have to be positive and be grateful that I am alive.
