Iwas diagnosed with diabetes when I was 19 years old.

It was difficult for me because I had once lived such a different life of being invincible to things in my surroundings.

Able to put whatever I please in my mouth such as candy bars, slushies, cakes, and ice cream at any time of the day without even giving it a second thought.

Now when I go out and about and I see others just doing what I used to, it’s frustrating to me because that’s what I crave so much to get back to.

Now, I will forever have the anxiety like “did I take insulin first” or “maybe I shouldn’t eat this,I am diabetic my blood sugar is already high enough”.

Sometimes you even feel like a burden to those around you when you have a high blood sugar or low blood sugar and you now need to seek medical attention.

Life would just be so great if I could go back to how things used to be.
