I am currently 21.
I’ve always had severely bad periods, they lasted 7 days with heavy flows, severe cramps to where I didn’t want to get out of bed until my period was over.

My Dr. put me on birth control pills when I turned 18, I didn’t notice a change in my periods and was still suffering.
I finally made the decision to get the IUD. I have had it for two years now and I am very happy I did.

My period is only about 2-3 days, very light or almost no flow. I still get the cramps but not always that bad and don’t last as long. I am her happy I was able to find something that actually helped with the pain of periods.
