I learned recently of a study which posits the theory that the heart contains more ‘brain cells’ than the brain. When the heart and brain are out of balance, the sine waves between the two are jagged and spiked. On the other hand, when the heart and brain are in sync, the sine waves are rounded like ocean waves.

This depends on the way you live your life and the kind of person you are. If you like to meditate and keep your stress levels low, you won’t have a problem to keep them in sync most of the time.
To move into the heart space and away from the flight or fight response to a situation, touch the heart with the hand and say “I am safe, I am loved” while breathing in through the nose and belly button and breathing out through the mouth for a count of four. Inhale through the nose to a count of four, exhale to a count of four, and say “I am safe, I am loved”.

Do this as needed throughout the day. It will calm you down and help you be at peace with yourself and others, but it will also make your health better.
