I’ve been suffering from depression since 1999 and my friends and family still haven’t researched the disease yet.
They just seem like they are not interested or like they don’t believe me when I try and tell them depression is a very real thing. Not everyone believes depression is more than feeling sad or anything like that.
Most of the time they call me crazy acting or that’s just how she acts or her she goes again. But they don’t know how the disease has overwhelmed my life until I’ve actually stayed inside my house without leaving for months.

All they do is say I’m lazy OMG that’s how my mind is screaming inside my head. I take meds and suffer from insomnia. I sometimes go without sleep for a week. Its madness and the people around me don’t understand.
I’m not sure how to tell my friends and family that this is not just in my head. Do you have advice for me?
Living with depression is not an easy life. I face a lot of struggles because of it and too often I feel like I’m left alone in the worlds.
