Cysts are one of the worst things that any female can get. I didn’t know I had cysts until the doctors found them before I had surgery. I had a lot of symptoms before I found out about it, but couldn’t know the reason for sure. I had irregular periods before I was diagnosed. I knew my periods would change after giving birth, but I only expected them to be heavier.

My periods would occur every two to three months, and it would look like a murder scene in the bathroom. It got so bad I had to go to the doctor because I was bleeding through a pad that I changed every hour. The doctor said it was really nothing, so I ended up going back home. I was cramping a lot before I got diagnosed which is weird because I never cramped before in my life with a period.

I’m sharing my story to raise awareness about symptoms that you shouldn’t ignore. Even if your doctors tell you that it is normal, it is not, and it should be treated. Trust your gut feeling and take care of your health.
