I was diagnosed with anxiety and major depression 10 years ago. I didn’t know too much about anxiety and was in denial about suffering from it. I tried taking the medicine that was prescribed to me but I didn’t like the way it made me feel, so I stopped and tried dealing with it on my own but this was unsuccessful.

Ten years later, my anxiety became worse than ever. I was struggling with trying to control it. I’m telling my story today to hopefully help. If you need help don’t be afraid of what others think instead, help yourself before it’s too late. If you need to talk to someone do that.

I regret waiting and thinking that I can handle things on my own. Now my son is going through the same thing and I’m doing things in the right way. I’m getting my baby the help that he needs so he won’t grow up suffering from the same thing that I’ve been going through.

He motivates me every day to continue to push until I can’t push anymore. When I finally told my mom she was sad for me but she understood exactly what I was going through because she goes through the same thing. She took the blame for it. She accused herself of passing it to me. I didn’t know what to say but I knew for sure it wasn’t her fault.

My main focus is to overpower and beat this thing. I can be stronger for my kids. I can help my son get through his problem too.
