have never been a big fan of dating, especially nowadays. My mother would tell me how it was like in the 1960s and I would always romanticize about that era. The idea of going to a local diner or hangout spot and actually mingling with people was so enticing.

Now though, its all through dating apps and everyone is doing their best to put on their best “face” to get a partner. The problem with my best face is it has Endometriosis waiting under it.

I went to have dinner with a promising young man and things were going well at first. Small conversation, getting to know each other and having a few alcoholic drinks. I was having a long island ice tea and after a few minutes felt the need to run to the bathroom.

After being in the bathroom for 10 minutes, I was on my way out and saw him – he said he was so surprised with how long it took that he ended up going to the bathroom, too. He asked if I wanted another drink and I said, no, because it would make me go to the restroom even more.

He was understanding and kind, and he knew about my Endometriosis beforehand. He did some reading up and was trying to learn as much as he could. The rest of the date went well.

Now, I know it went well, but I am afraid to follow up on a 2nd date. I feel so bad to make him go through all the loops that Endo gives. Its hard enough to find someone as is, but having Endo involved makes it even more difficult.
