Living with a chronic illness is tough.  It takes over almost every aspect of your life. Because of this it also takes over your friends and family sometimes. I say this because you can no longer spend the time you want with your family or hang out with your friends. Your chronic illness has taken over and you no longer have as much control over your body as you used to have.

Your illness may give you some sort of brain fog where you forget to respond right away to messages

It always pops up and ruins plans at the last minute.

Sometimes you are in so much pain that paying attention to someone gets increasingly difficult as the length of the conversation increases.

You may be having a fun time at a gathering or party but then the illness decides that you have to leave early

Your new favorite past time is laying down to rest as standing up can get painful and hard to do.
